Emmett Alexander

Okay so I have been really behind! The pictures speak for themselves. Emmett was born May 3rd weighing 7 lbs 9 oz! It's surreal having a baby, he's perfect. The labor=most horrible thing I have ever experienced. No way will I EVER get induced again, the pain was just unbearable. I had to have a second dose of the epidural and that got me from a 4 to a 9 in an hour and a half! Wish it worked that good the first time. I was in the hospital for over 24 hours before having him but only in actual labor for about 9 hours. The delivery was the easiest and least painful part of the whole thing!

We moved to Springfield this past Tuesday and my mom just left today. She was an awesome help and I will definitely miss her! Emmett makes the cutest noises but sometimes he's SO noisy when he sleeps that I worry something is wrong with him. It was really hard for me to sleep the first week but I'm getting better at it now. It's hard to not to feel anxious with this tiny fragile life I am all the sudden in charge of!

So sucky your epidural didn't work the first time around! At least they didn't have to take it out and re-do it!!!!

But I'm so glad everything else went smoothly!

Congrats again! :)
